If anyone is contemplating ordering from Ulta.com, I'd think twice...

I'm not currently living near an Ulta, so I thought that I would order online....They had a promo for free shipping if you spent $50 and I could use my $3.50 coupon - plus DH gave me a gift card for Christmas...

I place my order, go to the checkout. The gift card covered part of the cost, so I enter my credit card. Well, that card gets denied...I knew it was an error, so I call my credit card company and they fix the problem. I go back to Ulta.com and try it again...only now it tells me my gift card has a ZERO balance Chat Icon Chat Icon

I call customer service...well after 3 rounds of "we're assisting other customers, but press 1 to leave a message and we'll call you back" (Which I don't really want to do) It dumps me to a message that tells me they are closed, they are only open 9am to 5pm....It was 2PM Chat Icon

So I try again and again...same thing. So I decide to leave a message. And then I went on the website and emailed them as well. I finally got a call back about 3 hours later..."We see this all the time - our system isn't very smart" Chat Icon

They reload my gift card and I go to check out - now the $3.50 won't come up since it thinks I used it already. I decide NOT to put myself through that hassle again for $3.50. I check out...the free shipping is only good if you put in a street addresss, not a PO Box (presumably they will ship UPS/FedEX)...not a problem....and I'm checked out.

Today, I get a shipping confirmation...from the US POSTAL SERVICE...now this is a problem, since we are staying at my parent's and the Post office is notorious for RETURNING things that don't come in with a PO Box on them. I call customer service AGAIN...this time they actually pick up right away. They tell me that I am correct, PO Boxes are not eligible for Free Shipping. When I say, well wouldn't that mean you would ship UPS or Fed Ex? I get "Well, shipping is determined after your order processes based on size/shape/weight of package..." Chat Icon

So now I have to call the super cranky post master and have her look up the tracking number and hopefully add the PO Box to the package. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Next time, I'll just drive to the flippin' store!!!!!
Vent over...thanks!

ETS - USPS just told me they can't change the shipping info and the package will be returned to the sender!!!????!!! UGH - hopefully the postmaster is feeling friendly...
