Ultrasound Today and Update on Babies M
We were scheduled to have our 1st trimester screen today. My DH did NOT want to do this test. He felt it would do nothing but worry us if we did get iffy results. We had already decided that no matter what ,we would not be doing amnio or CVS anyway. After speaking with the genetics counselor and the head Dr we agreed this was not for us. She also told us that 96% of the positives are false positives!! Too much doubt for me. We will get our anatomy scan and AFP test at 19 weeks.
On to babies:
Baby A who was my little guy is fully caught up and measuring 11w0 days which is what I am today. HR 167-exact same as last time
Baby B who must take after his/her Daddy(he's 6'4) is measuring 6 days ahead-1 more day ahead and they will change my due date HR 162. We saw legs, fingers, etc. Lots more detail in this ultrasound.
I was asked to take part in a research study about preeclampsia and I agreed so over the course of the study I get $350 in WalMart gift cards!!

My ultrascreen is on Monday, and to be honest I didn't want to do the test either, I just want the ultrasound to see the munchkin again....
So glad everything is looking AMAZING for you and the babies!!!!!!!!

Congrats on a good report about your babies :)
I just had my ultrascreen this week and was also worried about the false positive rate. So far so good, though...
I am just a sucker for an excuse to see my baby!!!
