I still don't get what gives her any reason to be on that show. She's blonde, conservative and won survivor. Does she have any journalistic background at all??
Can't they at least get a young, female republican with a brain. I mean, there has to be one right?    Just kidding everyone.

This is my thing about the View. It started out as a great concept. Four/Five women from different walks of life with different perspectives:
Meredith Viera: Journalist
Joy Behar: Comedienne
Star Jones: Attorney
Barbara Walters and
Debbie M: Young, blonde and dumb (hence she was replaced wiht Lisa Ling)
Now I haven't watched the show much since Meredith left, but now you have:
Whoppie Goldberg: Comedienne
Joy Behar: Comedienne
Sheri: Comedienne
Elizabeth: Reality TV star
So who is the intellectual/ "smart one" in the bunch now?

I agree to an extent, but I have to say that even though Star was an attorney she was not as well read and well versed as some of the Comediennes that are on there now. I do like when Barbara is on, because the others seem to be better "prepared," but I do wish the panel were a little more diverse, as it was when The View began.
And I also hated Debbie. She just irked me to no end. Lisa was fantastic and contributed in a much more interesting and productive way.

I honestly can see what she means. I don't think she meant because of the actual music but because of the hysteria that surrounded them. Everywhere you looked there was something NKOTB or someone wearing something NKOTB.

She didnt actually WIN Survivor - but came in FOURTH (2nd season, Australia) so that makes her even more worthless to me!

I think that all the original ladies are smart and whoppie! I can't speak for Shari because i haven't seen the show with her. I just think when you have 3 commediennes and a reality tv star, the diversity of experiences is not there.

I agree, she didn't compare them to The Beatles, she said they were "The Beatles of her time" And I agree with her, I like NKOTB more than The Beatles.
And I'm just as excited about this as she is!
