Ummm, ok so I watched yo gabba gabba for the first time yesterday with DD...
And all i could think was seriously??? this is the show everyone talks about?? It's so stupid, DH thought it was a joke and from the 70's!  But to our surprise DD was glued to the tv!!!!

Yes... the first couple of times I watched it I thought it was a joke too. Sooo bad, but DS loved it and couldn't take his eyes off the TV.
Now, I've pretty much seen all the episodes and know the songs. I actually don't mind it. Some episodes are better than others.
Watch "New Friends" with Jack Black. That's one of my favs.

I admit, its so strange but I like certain things about the show that teaches kids to do things like share, eat the right foods, not hit and DONT BITE YOUR FRIENDS!
it sticks to them...its crazy!

I was SO not into it and really didn't want DD to like it, she didn't really watch it until she was over 2 years...but she LOVES it, and I can honestly say that it's the 1 show that actually gets her up, moving/dancing/singing/etc.

The other day they played the one about sleep and they were singing about unicorns. DH saw this and vowed never to allow Abby to see it again. at that point, I vowed to sing about unicorns before he goes to bed.

Strange.. yes
But SOOO much better than half the other stuff on TV for sure!
AJ loves it, we love it. It makes us laugh. Its just simple and fun. Nothing too fancy nothing I can disagree with. Its about friendship, sharing, learning new things and really simple stuff like eyes, lips, ears etc.
I love the Jack Black episode too, ha!
I also have seen almost ALL of them multiple times. We still have 11/4 DVR date on ours. It was the episode with song called "hello world" AJ loves it so we save it. Hello World, Hello Cats, Hello Bats, blah blah etc
I like that it teaches things like taking naps, dont bite, GET THE WIGGLES OUT, there's a party in my tummy, throw trash away, Keep trying, keep trying, dont give up, dont give up.. try it, you'll like it! haha
Simple stuff but its presented in a fun way. Lets not forget Cool tricks, cool cool cool tricks! haha
AJ loves to jump and dance to it.
Her very close second place to this show is the Upside Down Show.
PS: Jim and I still laugh when it gets to that pink thing in the intro.. cause she's "freaking happy" haha i know it says she's pink and happy but all we ever hear is .. she's freaking happy!
