Unbelievable - Netflix (Posssible Spoilers)
I just finished watching a limited series on Netflix, Unbelievable and I thought the show was really good. It is based on a true story.
The cast was great.
Anyone watch it?

OMG I felt so bad for Marie. I loved the two women detectives, they were great!

I tried to watch it but only made it through the first episode. It was really slow moving and it was SUPER obvious what was going to happen (that she wouldn't be believed).

I loved it.
I don't think it was a show set up to make you wonder about would they believe her or not -- there was no mystery to it. It was supposed to make you think about the system and how a male detective may approach a victim vs. how a woman would. It really was upsetting to watch, but eye opening. The system is terrible in so many ways.

I actually stopped after the 1st episode also, because I thought it was going in a different direction. But my BBF told me to go back and finish it because it wasn't what I thought.
Glad I did. It's not only about her story. And like the previous poster mentioned it's about how her case was handled.
It's a true story. I went down the Google rabbit hole to see interviews from everyone involved. There are no pics out there of Marie and that's actually her middle name. She didn't want her real name being used.
I did find a story from 20/20 or one of those shows with the 2 female detectives.
Really terrible how her case was handled until those 2 got involved.

Shut it off and a friend told me to put it back on and I ended up getting hooked and googled like crazy after
Glad for the outcome but was extremely disturbing how it was originally handled

I loved it! I wish she would have asked for more, but I'm glad that in the end, a sense of justice was served. Great show!
