UPDATE 6-30******how long does it take to get used to a new prescription eyeglasses??
they feel really weird and blurry still

update 6-27
so I went back today and the left eye was too strong so they are changing the left eye
I brought my old glasses with me and the Dr said that they were way too weak (but I can see with them) then he tried to show me on that eye machine what my old prescription was and I couldnt see.... but I can with my old glasses kwim??
I just feel like he thought I was saying he didnt do his job right but all I want to do is see
UPDATE 6-30 picked them up and I can see fine
no blurriness at all and they are great
I am just ****** that the eye dr made me feel like $hit last time and acted like I was crazy

I think it depends on how often you wear them. If you wear them all the time, it should only take a few days. If its been longer, go back. I once did get the wrong prescription.

I've had my eyeglasses since December, but b/c I don't wear them often, they still bother me when I switch over from my contacts.
Your eyeglasses should be a half-step down (less strength) from your contacts - just make sure otherwise, you're causing a lot of strain on your eyes.
If you don't wear contacts, wear the glasses when you HAVE to, give your eyes a break 30 minutes at a time, and you'll be fine after a week and a half.

I recently got new glasses and the shape was a little different than my old ones and I didn't spring for the thinner lenses so it took some getting use to but nothing was ever blurry. It sound s like they might have used the wrong scrip strength.

i have NEVEr had a problem with new glasses. I woudl take them back...they may have made the prescription too strong.

dh got glasses from there and they were horrid (bad prescription from dr.) and they replaced them absolutely free and he got his new lenses right there on the spot (like in 30 minutes). Go back, they will replace the lenses

i don't think you should have to "get used to" new glasses. you should put them on and see clearly! definitely go back - maybe they messed up your lenses

I've always been told that you do, especially if you prescription changed a lot, or glasses change & contacts didn't. They're not blurry though, they just seem to strong. Blurriness in 1 eye seems more like a mistake.
LeighAnn, definitely go back--even if they don't have a no questions asked policy, if they gave you the wrong lens, they should replace it.
I think they have equipment they can use to check the prescription.
How long have you had them?

I just picked them up yesterday
I calld and they said come down but I have 4 kids here right now so.....I will have to wait to see if my Mom can come over later

well I havent gotten the glasses yet.....I will pick them up Monday evening
I have to say that I am still nervous that they will not come out right but I am optimistic

I actually almost cried.....and I am not a crier
I just knew something was wrong and it was like he didnt want to be WRONG
hopefully it gets fixed

I had this happen with my contacts recently. If it is blurry, I believe it is too strong a prescription.
