UPDATE - Is this a sign of a urinary tract infection or just "terrible 2" type stuff
HELP ME !!!! Dh and I were away in Georgia with my mom wed, thurs, anfd friday night and miki stayed with my IL's. One night while staying at my IL's, my MIL took her to pee at around 2am when mikayla woke up (she was in the same room with them in her PNP - she NEVER wakes up at home)
Well Saturday night and tonight, I put her to bed and she starts FREAKING saying that she has to pee....even though I make her go right before bed. I take her to pee and then put her back into bed...last night she cried and screamed for like an hour
Tonight I decided to put her portable potty into her room and she is still freaking out, saying "mommy, I have to pee....mommy I need you"
I am not sure if this may be a sign of a urinary tract infection (I would say no as she is fine during the day, she is just doing this at nap and night time) or if she is just out of sorts from being away from us for a few nights
advice/suggestions welcome
UPDATE -
So mikayla did better last night, she was not yelling that she had to pee when I put her into bed (I brought her lilttle potty seat in there and told her it was there if she needed it)
BUT, she had two accidents at daycare yesterday (she pooped once and peed once, two separate occasions), she peed last night (I found her laying the opposite way on her bed this morning and the other spot, where she usually lays was wet) AND the sitter told me that she pooped today at nap time
WHAT GIVES? is this regression normal? (she has been fully trained for like 2 months now) / does it have something to do with the way she was acting a few nights ago
any suggestions / advice?
TIA

Re: Is this a sign of a urinary tract infection or just "terrible 2" type stuff
Remember me posting this same thing last week? We'll its been going on here for 2 weeks now
Actually now that I think of it, it started when we came back from vacation. I think for my DD its a way of delaying bedtime or maybe reassurance we are still there and not leaving again? I don't know. But I do know my DD is not sick.
CIO didn't work (I think you said some kids just need to cry, don't go in) but it just went on and on. DH couldn't take it anymore.
We've tried reward/punishment tactics which really hasn't worked either. (No juice tomorrow, no or more books before bed, etc.)
I'm at a loss myself. Sorry I can't be more help

Have you noticed her urine smelling at all? I know she's not in diapers anymore, but when DD had a UTI her urine STUNK (easier to smell in diapers, obviously). Also, she had a very high fever. Those are warning signs of a UTI. If she's not complaining it hurts to pee or anything, no fever, no odor, it's probably not a UTI (in my experience). Hopefully she'll be back on a routine in no time

her stomach must've been bothering her, my poor baby
when I went into her room this morning, I smelled poop ...she had an accident overnight and was pretty much covered in poop...... she did not cry or anything during the night so I am not sure when she had her accident....I poped her in the tub to clean her off and she seemed to be in good spirits

Honestly, if there are no other signs, I'd say it's a separation thing. Every now and then Ava goes through it and we have to jsut let her cry. It's so hard, but what she needs.

Never been, never done but...Throwing it out there... What if you put pull-ups on her at night until she gets better or is that just encouraging the behavior?

I have no experience with this yet but I'm guessing it has alot to do with the separation.

I did not want to do that cause she was doing SO well for SO long and I did not want to revert backwards...I always said once she was out of diapers, that would be the end of that
thanks for the idea though
ETA - she also had a bit of a stomach bug and had diarrhea one night overnight so that may have messed her up as well
