Re: urinary tract infection
Not sure if this helps but I was recently prescribed topical Erythromycin which is a topical antibiotic for acne. It is also a Class B drug. The Class B drugs are considered the safer out of the bunch, Class A being the safest. You are much better taking something for the UTI than nothing at all. Without any kind of treatment, UTI's have the ability to spread and do a lot more damage in the long run. So you were better off going on an antibiotic now and fighting the infection early. I hope you feel better!

Re: urinary tract infection
I recenttly had to take antibiotics for a UTI. The risks to the baby from the antibiotics is minimal compared to the risk of an infection left untreated. A UTI can turn into a bladder or even a kidney infection which can then have an effect on the baby and may even cause preterm labor and rupture of memebranes.
Take your antibiotics - it is for the best. I hope you feel better!
