UPDATE 1: What would you do? Decreased baby kicks
Good morning ladies. I am a little concerned but don't want to be one of those freaking out moms-to-be. I will be 33 weeks tomorrow and every day for weeks now baby gets up between 3-6 am with heavy duty kicks and rolls. Today - nothing. Should I be concerned? I laid on my left side for 25 minutes at 8:00 am, drank cold water, and just got 2 little faint kicks about 20 minutes apart. What should I do? Should I call the doctor just to be on the safe side? Do I give it more time? I don't want to overreact but like I said, this isn't "normal" for baby and they have me all freaked out with the 10 movements in one hour that they told us about at the childbirth classes. Maybe the baby decided to sleep in today? Ugh.
UPDATE: The doctors office just called me. They asked me if I ate anything and had any caffeine - and thanks to what you ladies recommened - I told them I did! But still very, very faint movements. They told me to go in today at 1:00 to be checked-out and for peace of mind. I will let you girls know what they say. Like I said, I am sure everything is fine, but this baby moves like clockwork and the fact that it changed today, freaked me out a bit. THANKS AGAIN! I will let you know what happens!

Maybe there is just less room these days for baby to move around. But if you are concerned call the doctor. There is nothing wrong with that. Although this is coming from a "freaking out mom to be"
But seriously, I would call the dr if that is what your gut is telling you to do. I am sure everything is fine

If it would make you feel better than call your doctor. If you are going to stress about it, then it might help to just give them a call and see what they say.

drink something caffeinated, then lay on your side and see if baby responds.

Thanks ladies. Going to the kitchen to grab a cold coke, close my office door, and lean back on my chair and see what happens.
BTW - WHY THE #*)$^) DID I COME TO WORK TODAY???

Re: What would you do? Decreased baby kicks
I definitely freak out a little when baby doesn't move some days, especially now that he moves all the time and seems to have a routine where he is most active. But most of the time it's nothing, he's just relaxing that day.
Do you have a lounge area at work? I find that at work I never notice movement like I do on the weekends when I am laying on the couch.
Do what the other ladies said, drink something with a little caffeine or some OJ, and see what happens then.
If you are still worried in a couple of hours, call your doctor. I'm sure everything is fine!!

Re: What would you do? Decreased baby kicks
I'm 33 weeks today and I also have noticed decreased movements. My high risk doctor gave me a kick count sheet and told me to lay down, after I eat, and count kicks for 2 hours between 7pm-11pm. They also told me that if I don't feel 10 kicks in 2 hours to call them.
I would do what the others recommended. Hopefully your baby starts wiggling away.
