update- 11/6
So my beta was 28 today, 12 dpo. They said everything looks good on paper but they don't understand how I could have gotten a positive so early with a beta of 28. Is this a really low beta? I know what matters is the doubling but they officially (not on purpose) freaked me out
*** Had my first ultrasound today and there is one perfect bean in there. Heart rate 130, next ultrasounds in 10 days!

Re: Looking for some beta reassurance
I've never had a positive beta, but i believe over 20 is what they are looking for and that it doubles....good luck!

Looking for some beta reassurance
At 14 dpo they like to see 50 plus. I've had betas of 20, and 47 on 14dpo and both were chemicals
Honestly, at 12 dpo 28 is not that great. It does however need to start somewhere, so your number at 14 will be a big indicator.
Good luck!

Re: Looking for some beta reassurance
Mine was 56 on14dpo so that would have been a 28 2 days earlier. When I tested on 12dpi I had the faintest of faint bfps but it stuck and resulted in my healthy DD Good luck

Looking for some beta reassurance
I think its okay for 12 dpo. If it doubles and gets to the 50s-60s by 14dpo you will feel better. Fingers crossed for you. My beta for IVF which would equate to 14dpo was 50 something and I am in the third trimester. My chemical betas were low like 8. You are not out yet.
The waiting is torture! Hang in there.

Looking for some beta reassurance
My first beta 7 or 9 dp 5dt was a 40. I was shocked too but it continued to double... still in the low range until I had my sono. I have a healthy DD. I pray it dobles for you!

Re: Looking for some beta reassurance
If you're 12 dpo I think it's fine, being that a 14dpo beta of 50 is considered ok.. Best of luck!!

Mine was 23 with twins at 10dpiui and I did get a positive on a FRER. I think you def have a good chance at this being the real thing!

Re: Looking for some beta reassurance
It is a fine beta for 12dpo. Mine was 31 at 13dpo. I'm 22+ weeks now.

just so you have some hope, at 12dpiui, my beta with my daughter was only 25. at 14dpiui it was only 50 and 16dpiui it went up to 107. they kept telling me not to get my hopes up because the numbers weren't going up that much. my daughter is a happy, healthy 20 month old today.

I hope so. I keep thinking it had to be too good to be true to get pregnant off my first iui.

Re: Looking for some beta reassurance
28 at 12dpo sounds good to me. Normally, beta is done until 14dpo, and yours would be about 50 by then, which is a good number. I wouldn't worry.
Congrats!

Re: Looking for some beta reassurance
There is a reason many RE's will not see you before 14dpo. 28 is low for 14dpo but not at all for 12dpo! That's actually a fine number. My first beta at 15 dpo was 87 I believe so you are still in the ball park. What matters is what it doubles to so I'll be keeping fingers crossed!!!

Another beta on Wednesday. I guess since it is doubling at every 56 hours instead of 48 they want to keep checking.

Re: Looking for some beta reassurance update with second beta
Were you consistent with the times they drew your blood? One time they drew mine at 7am and another at 2pm so there could be a difference in that too.

They were within an hour or two so pretty consistent.

Looking for some beta reassurance update with second beta
I'm pretty sure my first beta was at 15dpo with this IVF bc they aren't open on Sunday and it was in the 50's. I was worried but I kept on checking BETA Base. I had 4 betas. I think the 3rd one was a little less than double and then the 4th one more than doubled. I'm in third tri now! So I understand your worry. Fingers crossed

Re: Looking for some beta reassurance update with second beta
I lose my IF insurance in the new year, so this is just putting an extra stress on this whole thing. I have had two previous miscarriages, so I am really hoping this sticks. If it doesn't that will put me at only MAYBE two cycles covered with my insurance.
Thanks for all your help ladies!
