Update 4/16 Wish me luck!
I sent out my resume tonight to one of my dream employers. The open position is looking for some very specific experience, that I have. I also happen to know the Director and have worked with them on some difficult cases so I sent out a separate email that I had sent my resume in.
We shall see what happens!

good luck!! let us know it goes. fingers crossed for you........you seem like such a career woman and I bet you're very good at what you do. I hope you get it! i think it's great that you let the director know you passed on your resume. hopefully that will get it bumped to the top of the pile!

Thanks a lot ladies!
I am so nervous and excited. I haven't been on an interview in what seems like forever, let alone for my top choice employer. Any tips you can share would be appreciated :).
P.S. Thanks to everyone who has been FMing . I can't say enough how helpful it has been!

Thanks everyone. I should know in about a week.
There is A LOT of competition for the position. I was told I was the 8th candidate interviewed, and there are more people scheduled for this week.
I sent thank you emails and a card, and someone I know who oversees this program on a state-wide level was supposed to call the Director and put in a good word for me. (HR would not take my reference list at this point in the game).
It's up to fate now I guess!
