He must have been BEYOND embarassed Some guys would have just blown it off and probably never called you back out of embarassment. I think it took some guts on his part.
I'm sure he's going to want to make it up to you No, not that way... only the second date  I meant going all out on making some great plans
BTW: I love your updates. Keep them coming.

Funny comment about the yentas shows he has a sense of humor which is very important.
Hopefully, he will ask you out on the third date before the second one even ends

How do you toss out a perfectly good doctor that can cook & has ballet season tickets???
Also hint since you want to go to the ballet again: He has season tickets My roommate from college once dated someone she was no longer interested in because they were moving & she wanted his apartment

A man who cooks I agree.
I agree that the second date was very nice but didn't allow for a lot if conversation so yeah... go out one more time and make your decision.
Could you be not allowing yourself to get excited because you are afraid of disappointment?
That's where I was when I met DH. I wouldn't allow myself to wonder if he was cute, etc. because I was experiencing such a horrible dating streak. I just figured... this guy is too good to be true and any day now he'll flake out on me. So I kept seeing other guys as well. Thankfully, he was persistant and consistent. Took me about two months to completely relax about that.
Could that be it?

That's hillarious...good point though!
He loves to cook....very passionate about many things! Our first conversation he quized me about my favorite foods, and the ones I just wont eat.
He's interesting, that's all Im thinking about now!

Just have fun with date #3 -- there's really no pressure and no true "decision day" -- just go with it and keep asking yourself if you're having fun.
