UPDATE 8/22/08 BLOOD RESULTS IN PLAN FOR BFP ALL SET UP
2 weeks ago I had my first appt. at my ob/gyn to find out why I don't have a regular cycle since we just started TTC.
Had bloodwork done for PCOS, glucose and thyroid.
No PCOS and glucose and thyroid are fine.
Had an internal sono done to make sure no cysts or anything on my ovaries.
Just got the results back from the internal sono and I don't have any cysts and everything looks great but I did not ovulate last month.
I am so confused and kind of worried.
My ob/gyn referred me over to Dr. Goldschlag and I have an appt. tomorrow at 11:30.
I asked my doc why she sent me there so fast as I have only had 1 appt. w/ her since we started TTC and she said that I am stressing myself out so much and this could be causing the no ovulation and that she is sending me to him so he can calm me down.
I don't know what to think now I am so worried.
Update:
So guess who has PCOS!!! So glad my gyno told me the test for PCOS came back negative. I am livid right now. But on a side note Dr. Goldschlag is great. I love him, he did another internal sono and took his time and told me everything I was looking at and exactly how he could tell I had PCOS. He told me not to worry that it is very treatable and that once the bloodwork (about 15 vials lol) come back he will start me right away on Provera and then clomid. My next appt. is next Friday. I am so happy that I am on the path to a BFP.
8/22/08 UPDATE
Last Friday I was diagnosed w/ PCOS and today all my blood came back good and I fill my Provera script today.
After I get AF I get my clomid then get monitored for Ov and then my trigger shot and I have decided to do IUI.
My doc is very aggressive as am I and he said this would be the best course of action to get a quick BFP.

Re: Internal Sono Results In (Long Sorry)
Yes I think he is an RE that is why I am getting so nervous.
I called my ob/gyn back and asked her why she was sending me there so soon and she said b/c you are getting yourself insanely worked up and she wants me to calm down and she said Dr. Goldschlag can do that for me.

Re: Internal Sono Results In (Long Sorry)
It's not all that uncommon for women to have annovulatory cycles. It does happen from time to time. But how could they tell just from the sono that you didn't ovulate at all during the month? A sono won't show that, it can show that you hadn't ovulated as of yet.. when the sono was done.
The only true way to know if you ovulated would be to have blood drawn around CD21, they will check your progesterone and estrogen levels.

I had the sono done on 8.1 and she said that the egg wasn't coming out?? To be completely honest I don't know how thrilled I am w/ this ob/gyn my sis goes to her as well as my best friend and they love her but my experience so far has not been that great. I get the feeling she is rushing me off the phone everytime I get to speak to her. Not to mention the fact that I have to call 3-5 times just to get a call back.

Re: Internal Sono Results In (Long Sorry)
If I were you I would want a full explanation, a medical one, as to why you were referred to the RE so quickly. And the answer she gave you, that you are making yourself crazy, is not the answer. Sorry, but I ask alot of questions with doctors and I like an explanation.
Good luck, hopefully the RE will be more helpful to you.

I ask alot of questions as well but she is always rushing me off the phone and getting me so crazy that I forget half the stuff I wanted to ask and then when I call the office back it takes days for her to call me back.
On a side note though I have heard great things about Dr. Goldschlag and I got all my test results faxed to me so I can bring them with me tomorrow.

Where were you in your cycle on 8/1? Like I said, really the only way to know for sure if you ovulated would be through a blood test at a specific time during your cycle.

Re: Internal Sono Results In (Long Sorry)
it is wierd that the doctor referred you so fast without really explaining anything to you..
but on a side note, stress is VERY bad when TTC and it could cause you not to ovulate.. once i found that out, i tried very hard not to stress, and its been working!! also it is normal for you just not to ovulate one month.

He was great. I am so glad that the ob/gyn referred me to him even if she jerked me around completely. I feel like I am finally on the path to a bfp.
