Update at bottom!! Spare some prayers please....
FYI Son is 9 weeks old. (super long)
So last yesterday I had my sons Baptism (sunday).. Saturday night into Sunday he slept through the night! Wooo HOoo... I was excited... well Sunday... he slept allllllllllll day long through the ceremony, through the party... he woke for feedings, but basically slept through them too. He also was spitting up most of his bottle from 12 pm and on. So after the party when I got home, I wanted to check his temp and give him a bath after being passed around he needed a good bath. So I check his temp and its 101.6. I immediately recheck to just see and it was slightly lower. I proceed to give him a bath as DH calls the pediatrician. During bath the ped. calls and after him hearing everything, spitting up, sleeping all day and fever, he urges to send to ER immediately. So I finish bath right away dress him and go.
We got the the ER and in a little time, they check him in.. check vitals take temp, temp was much lower (Good thing) So they send him into private ER room, since he is only 9 weeks. The Dr goes over everything and says she needs to check urine for UTI, so they enter his penis with a super long catheter for a sterile specimen... I almost feel over with how long it was and how much DS sreamed... DH couldnt stomach to watch or keep in the tears so he left room, after they draw blood and hook him up with IV. Afterwards they tell me they need to do a spinal tap to check for meningitis! I LOST it as well as husband. I was soo nervous for them to insert a needle into his spine. The ER dr called DS's pediatrician. I spoke with him and he assured me they are doing the right thing, better safe than sorry and that it was necessary to be done. So DH and I left room for 10 min whle it was performed. The fluid pulled was clear which is a good thing. Blood count came back great as well as good white blood cell count and no UTI. GREAT! Well they need to admit him and monitor him for 48 hours till culture from Spinal comes back. So at about 3:30am they bring him up to pediatrics.
Well here is where it goes down hill.... so today I call few dermatologists because of skin rash under armit and on side of my back... no one would take me for a month so I go down to ER with DH. Immediately a DR came into triage room... then they move me to a private ER room.... well I have SHINGLES!!!!!!! Dr said prob from stress... nothing I did to cause it nothing I could have done to prevent it! So far looks like a very mild case.
But heres where it sucks.... I am not allowed to be with DS for 1 to 2 weeks, until rash scabs over. I am a STAHM.... I cant be with my son, while he is hooked up in a hospital... I cant make parental decisions for him while he is there... I cant hug, kiss, be with my 9 WEEK OLD BABY!!!! The thing that is scaring me the most is that he could develop chicken pox in the next few weeks and knowing that I caused my son to get a diease is killing me!
I am soooooooooo scared and I dont know what to do, DH is petrified, we are soo overly emotional.
I CANT BE WITh MY SON WHEN HE NEEDS ME!!!!!! I'm just so lost.... if you made it this far thanks for reading... please pray we will make it through this quickly and DS will be okay! 
UPDATE:
So I got to see my son today!!! The pediatric Dr at Good Sam and my son's pedi. told my husband today that I should come see him and spend time with him! DS will only get chicken pox from DIRECT contact. Not through kisses, breathing ect. like the ER Dr's told me! I especially trusted the Dr at Good Sam becuase her son is 5 days older than mine and I trust her word 1st as a DR and 2nd as a mother! I have to limit my contact with him... like I wont do diaper changes and baths and limit feedings if even I do any until my shingles scabs have scabbed.
Today I washed everything in my house... coush cushion covers, all towels, blankets, sheets, baby toy thinmgs like bouncer and swing boppy covers... I lysoled every single door knob, kitchen knobs nurseru furniture knobs everything! This way DS hopefully when he comes home tommorow on MY Birthday he has a perfect sterile place to comne home to!
My family has been a huge help offering their time to come and spend nights/ days with DS.... My DH starts nighst at work for the next week so its going to be tough but the most important thing is that I can see DS
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR OVERWHELMING SUPPORT! I showed DH this website for the first time showing the responses and he was amazed and shocked!! Thank you all so much! For teh next 2 weeks, I just have to hope and pray he doesnt come down with the pox and that I get better soon!!

omg im so sorry! I cant imagine what it must feel like not to be able to be with DS throughout all this! Lots of and  for a speedy recovery for both of you!!!

Wow, that is crazy! I hope you both get well soon so you can be back together! Be thankful it was caught early though and know that you both will get through this. My prayers are with you both!!!

So sorry, prayers for you, your son, and DH. Remember, you did nothing wrong so don't beat yourself up about this. You being away from him is what is best for him so hold on to that thought when things get really hard.
