UPDATE: I'm a little less of a mess
So yesterday was the ER. And I was so excited that my actual RE was doing the procedure. The day before I had 9 follies and at least 5 good sized ones. It seemed like this was going to be my best cycle yet, everythign was lining up. But, I wake up from my little nap yesterday and they tell me I only had 3 eggs retrieved. I'm really really freaked out. I mean how is that possible? I know nothing about these eggs, are they mature etc...
I so scared for the phone call today. 1st IVF they got 8 eggs, only 1 fertilized badly and 2nd IVF 7 eggs and 2 fertilzed.
I'm sorry but I need your help again. Please help me  that they are mature and that they fertilized. At least one.
I feel like I'm loosing this battle.

UPDATE: well out of my 3 eggs only one was mature and it fertilized with ICSI. So, transfer on Wednesday as planned. I feel a little better. I will calm down as the day progresses (a little). I have one emby. That is all I need. One good one. Please G-d let this be the one that sticks!!!!

Oh no! Beth-Ann that was not the news you were hoping for. I can't imagine what this feels like.
Let's just take it one step at a time. Breathe..3 good eggs are better than 7 mediocre eggs.
Maybe you'll get a pleasant surprise later and all 3 will fertilize.
I am praying hard. I wish there was more I could say, but I've heard worse reports that had great outcomes.

I had the same exact thing happen last cycle so I know how you feel 
I woke up so excited asking how many, and when I was told 3 I burst into tears 
I believe 2 out of my 3 fertilized so I did have something to put back
I am praying for you

I just want to give you some hope...my good friend who also cycled at Cornell had the worse ER ever...only 2 eggs retrieved (it was her 4th cycle-she is only 34), previous cycles she had 10-12 eggs at ER (all BFN with 3 transferred)...she then got the phone call that only one fertilized...she was devastated.....that one made it to transfer (it was an 8 cell) and guess what?? she got a BFP!!! she is due in 2weeks with a healthy baby boy!!
Eventhough it was her worst cycle in terms of egg # but in the end it was her best!!
I hope same happens to you!! Remember, it is quality over quantity!!!

Oh no! Praying for a good fert report and wonderful embryoes!!!!
I too know someone who only had 1 or 2 eggs at retrieval. She ended up with only one embryo and she now has a 5 month old daughter. Just try to keep your hopes up. Anything can happen.

I wanted to share with you too, my good friend got two eggs, one fertilized, they put back the one and she has a two year old son. She was 44. Hang in there!!!

OK this is not bad!!! You could have had NO EGGS AT ALL.. God forbid.. Beth-ann you are in a very scary place right now.. I really realy know how you feel.. So we are going to pray for not only the eggs being excellent quality but for the ebryologist.. That they are caring for the eggs they injected the sperm the exact way they needed to be and those cells are dividing perfectly.. We pray Lord for a transfer to happen NO MATTER WHAT.. We need just one Lord but we are asking for all.. Thy will be done!!! And please give Beth Ann peace and acceptance.. And also please dont make her wait all day for the call with the great news!!

I keep telling myself that. I cannot tell you how excited I was to learn it was actually Dr. D doing the ER. Since my wrist band said Dr. C. I cannot believe how smooth everything was until this point. I did co-culture also. I just feel that if they were mature we'd have a chance.
Thanks all above for your stories of your friends. It really does help a lot. They are supposed to call by 1pm. Long day ahead.
I just wish to know if they were mature or not. I hate this waiting. Why are we always waiting?????????!!!!!!
And DH is so positive and doesn't understand me (never will I guess). Can't figure out why I'm upset.
This is our last IVF with my eggs!!!
