UPDATE! Is there a doll that DD can take in the tub? (bath fears)
DD (18 months) is terrified of getting a bath now. Specifically its when I wash her hair. So I'm trying to help her through it. I've gotten in the bath with her, ,we've gone back to baths in the sink, spent lots of $$$ on new bath toys, but nothing is really helping.
My latest idea is to get a doll that she can give a bath to. But I want it to be one with hair that she can shampoo it. i don't care if it ruins the hair, but at the same time, I don't want to spend a lot of $$$ if she is just going to ruin it.
Anyone know of an appropriate doll? Aby other advice would be welcome as well!
Thanks
Update: I ended up getting the Dora mermaid doll for he $12 and she loved it. She did express fear when we started the bath, we ended up taking the toddler tub out of the sink and putting it on the kitchen floor. We played with Dora and washed her etc and she ended up being fine. I didn't wash her hair (which I think is the main problem) so she ended up having fun splashing with dora - I'll probably hold off washing her hair for as long I can i've tried getting in the tub with her, but it has not helped and she is afraid of sprinklers so I don't think the shower will work. However, thanks for all your suggestions- I'll keep them in mind if she doesn't improve.

Jen - I don't know about a doll but if you have a stall shower, maybe she would do better in the shower right now. I took Ryan in the other day for the first time (b/c we're starting renovations and won't have a bath and I thought shower would be easier for me than lifting him into the sink) and he really did great in it.
If she's a fan of sprinklers, maybe she'll enjoy the shower.

Re: Is there a doll that DD can take in the tub? (bath fears)
is she into barbies? or princesses? i just bought DD a princess barbie for the bath at kohls...im sure they sell them elsewhere as well. I got her a few of them.
sleeping beauty...ariel etc....
Hope that helps! I know they sell actual dolls that go in the bath but i cant think of the name ive seen it but its $$ i got these barbies on sale for like 7 i think
eta: my DD did the same thing around 17 months and i had to go in the tub with her for a few days then she was back to being fine...maybe try that. I just rolled my pants up and she was fine with it....maybe try that before you spend more $$

I can't remember what it's called, but I bought my friends DD a baby doll that is meant to go in the bath. It came with a towel I think too. I got it at TRU

what about those bath crayons? My DD loved them and it was something totally new for her. They do make a mess, but it might be worth it.
I also just got a fishing rod with magntic fish at the dollar store which has been a big hit.
