UPDATE--IUI/IVF ladies
BFN
I had my first IUI done 2 weeks ago this friday. I started lightly spotting yesterday and is more of a light bleed today, paired with by far the worst cramps I've ever had in my life. So here's my question: I had 2 or 3 follicles mature when I triggered w/ Ovidrel. Am I def. out b/c I'm bleeding or since 2 or 3 eggs released, what happens if only 1 takes? What happens to the other ones? I'm so confused and called the dr but am still waiting to hear back from him. TIA

Re: IUI/IVF ladies
I'm not really sure. I had 5 iui's and the last one took.
I know that for each of the one's that didn't take, I felt like I had a regular period, but everyone is different.
Don't give up hope. Like I said, it took 5 iui's and almost 2 years of trying.
ETA: I triggered with Ovidrel for two of my cycles (three with..??, I forgot) and with each one I had no more that 3 mature follies.

Re: IUI/IVF ladies
I hope this isn't AF for you! Could the bad cramps result from changes in your cycles due to the injectables (I follow along on the IF boards)? I got PG on my second IUI. The first IUI I only released 1 egg. The cycle I got PG, I released 2 eggs and am pregnant with a singleton. I don't know what happened to the other egg but I've never had any spotting/bleeding.
I'll tell you to wait until you are late/the RE does a beta, but I didn't! I totally tested out my trigger too. I would think the trigger would be out of your system by now (you are at least 10 DPO, right) but that doesn't mean you will get an accurate HPT result.
How long is you LP usually? Should this be AF, is she on time?

Unfortunately I have no idea- I have PCOS and don't have a regular cycle length. My RE just called me back and asked if I was on progesterone and i told him no b/c when they took my progesterone test last friday it was 42 so they said that was a good # and I didn't need to take any additional. He told me to go get the beta done tomorrow instead of friday. This is going to be a long drawn out day.

Re: IUI/IVF ladies
I dropped 4 eggs my last cycle and got pregnant with twins. Right before I got my BFP I started bleeding too, I thought it was AF but then it just stopped and the next day I found out I was pregnant, so dont give up hope yet!!

Re: IUI/IVF ladies
I did IVF and we put back 2. About 3 days before my beta test I had some bleeding, which was light and it stopped for two days and then I had some more the morning of my beta test, but thankfully one of my little ones took.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!!!

I had a very similar experience. I actually went back a few days after my first beta because of some more bleeding. Everything turned out fine... I guessed it was the one embryo that didn't "stick."
Best of luck to you!

Thank you to all of you who responded to me. Hearing that some of you had some bleeding helped me get thru the rest of the day yesterday. Per my dr's request I'm going to get my beta done this morning and am leaving in a few mins. My progesterone was 42 a week ago tomorrow so he was surprised that I was bleeding if in fact it is AF. I'll definitely keep you posted. I talked to my mom last night and she told me she bled on and off and that's what caused her to go to the dr--- when she found out she was pregnant w/ my brother (her oldest). She said she bled off and on early in her pregnancy w/ him... and everything turned out fine. I wish I had higher hopes but I'm so used to BFNs We'll see.... Thanks again!!!

Re: UPDATE--IUI/IVF ladies
I remember the disappointment after my first failed IUI. That one was a really rough cycle. I would let myself have a bit of a pity party after each failed cycle TTC, but I would turn that corner and try again. The plan for the next cycle helped. I always believed getting PG would happen, or else I couldn't keep going. Keep your chin up and hang in there.

Re: UPDATE--IUI/IVF ladies
I am so sorry. The disappointment must be unbearable. Try to stay positive and gear up for the next cycle. Many of us have been in similar situations... we're here for you.
Take care!

Re: UPDATE--IUI/IVF ladies
The disappointment with my first IUI was horrible!!! I went through 1 1/2 yrs of iui's when I finally got pg with DS!!!! Now with #2 it worked on the 2nd try! Don't give up but do let yourself mourn for a day or two and then get ready for the next try. I remember living my life in 2 week periods and it seemed to make everything go faster!
