UPDATE JUST GOT BACK FROM DOC Internal Sono Results In (Long Sorry)
2 weeks ago I had my first appt. at my ob/gyn to find out why I don't have a regular cycle since we just started TTC.
Had bloodwork done for PCOS, glucose and thyroid.
No PCOS and glucose and thyroid are fine.
Had an internal sono done to make sure no cysts or anything on my ovaries.
Just got the results back from the internal sono and I don't have any cysts and everything looks great but I did not ovulate last month.
I am so confused and kind of worried.
My ob/gyn referred me over to Dr. Goldschlag and I have an appt. tomorrow at 11:30.
I asked my doc why she sent me there so fast as I have only had 1 appt. w/ her since we started TTC and she said that I am stressing myself out so much and this could be causing the no ovulation and that she is sending me to him so he can calm me down.
I don't know what to think now I am so worried.
Update:
So guess who has PCOS!!! So glad my gyno told me the test for PCOS came back negative. I am livid right now. But on a side note Dr. Goldschlag is great. I love him, he did another internal sono and took his time and told me everything I was looking at and exactly how he could tell I had PCOS. He told me not to worry that it is very treatable and that once the bloodwork (about 15 vials lol) come back he will start me right away on Provera and then clomid. My next appt. is next Friday. I am so happy that I am on the path to a BFP.

Re: Internal Sono Results In (Long Sorry)
If stressed caused one not to ovulate I would never ovulate. That is an odd thing to say. But, if you are not ovulating its better to go to an RE since they know more about this stuff. And they do a better job of monitoring you etc...
Goldschlag is at Cornell, right? I've heard very good stuff about him and know a couple of people who have success stories with him. I just started at Cornell myself, though not new to the IF world.
FYI - Cornell does not take insurance, but if you have out of network you can use that.
Good luck, let us know what he says tomorrow. Maybe just putting you on clomid will do the trick.

Re: Internal Sono Results In (Long Sorry)
First of all, stress is known to cause ovulation to stop. There is no other explanation sometimes besides stress. Secondly, your OB did the right thing. Their expertise only goes so far and since she couldn't find out what was going on, she is sending you to a specialist. He will do a full blood workup on you and find out what is going on.
Good luck today!
