Update on EJ - Ped visit today
We saw the ped today.
The good news: the lungs sound clear now. Just some nasal congestion.
Due to the mold issue we will still do the nebulizer 1 time per day with the steroid until we see the ped back in 2 weeks. Then we will re-assess.
The not so good news: He still has fluid in his left ear. We have to finish his antibiotic. That could be the explaining of those "wobbling" movement with his head that I have been noticing. The ped did a "quick" neurologic test on him and everything looks normal. So that ear would make sense with balance, etc... I was reclining him a bit to drink his milk. Well, I can't to that anymore. That creates more fluid in his ear. So now, his milk will have to be in a seating straight position. I had no idea. I am not going to beat myself up on this. To much to worry already.
We have to see a pediatric pulmorologist and see what affect the mold had on him. Most likely they will do a test to see if he is allergic, xrays of his lungs, etc...
We had a "few" tears and screaming with the ear test (the machine when they found about the fluid) but it went OK.

Overall sounds like a good update!  The antibiotic should clear the rest of the fluid up now, right? I hope so!
As far as the reclined position and not doing it...I agree with you...let it go..live and learn, right? Thanks for sharing that info with us!

that is good news!!! hope its a speedy recovery and thanks for mentioning the recline feeding because lately dd likes to lay down for her feedings and now it will be a no-no

Definitely a good update! I had to pull G off of milk b/c of the fluid in the ears, and I had to really push the sippy cup. He was getting chronic ear infections partially caused by a dairy intolerance, partially b/c of the position he would sit to take a bottle. I had no idea either. The good news is that once I took him off dairy & got him on the cup he was instantly better.
