UPDATE on Pg 2 Please send Prayers for my MIL
My MIL has been in the hospital for 2 weeks with pneumonia. She has Leginer's Disease (sp?) which now spread to both her lungs. She is on life support...full ventilator at 100% and her body is not fighting the disease. The anti biotics are not working and the doctor says it is very dismal. He said it is not a matter of when she will get better...it is a matter of IF she will get better.
She was hospitalized right after the babies were born. She only got to see her grandchildren once in the hospital, once the day we came home, and for about an hour the day of the bris/baby naming. DH is beside himself -- it is not easy going to bed every night wondering if your mother will still be alive in the morning. He and I are saddened that this happened now, when our children will not get to know their wonderful and loving grandmother. I know I am talking like she is gone, and we had a positive attitude for a while now, but the doctor really put things into perspective for us and now we are feeling like there is no hope.
I believe in the power of prayer...so please keep them coming!

Our family had someone on life support this past summer. Definitely one of the worst months. Her will to live was so strong, but her body gave out.
Many, many hugs & prayers for your & your DH's difficult time.

Thanks for your prayers...believe it or not, my MIL was taken off of the sedation and her family spoke to her. We felt she needed to know we were all there so that maybe she would "fight"
Her family watched as her temperature decreased. Next day, her eyes were open, yet she was still not responsive...but we believe she knew we were there. She is still on the ventilator, so she cannot breathe on her own yet, but I believe that all of the prayers have been working....
