*Update* Rant about Babies R US Delivery

Update: I went into BRU on Saturday and they contacted the company who did the delivery but were waiting on a response. My DH received an email from the company saying they will fix this ASAP and asked for the type of flooring and the company we used to put it down.

BRU also gave us back the delivery and assembly charge and took 20% off 2 of the pieces. They did the right thing by us and I was happy aboout that. I just hope my floors get done like the delivery company said.



Today Babies R US delivered our nursery furniture. They did not use the warehouse delivery service instead they had the pieces shipped to the store and they had an outside company deliver. Well they were suppose to come between 1pm - 5pm. I get a call at 5:05 saying they were at BRU getting the furniture and would be to my house soon. At 5:25 I get another call saying they were still at BRU. At 6:00 they show up. Now my DH took off today to stay home and wait for the furniture.

The guys put together both cribs and we also had a changer/dresser combo and a tall dresser. We looked at the both dressers and both have indents here and there but nothing too noticeable but we paid good money for these pieces. The guys did not put together the dressers just the cribs so it came from the warehouse indented.

Well then the guys leave and we walked around the room and my friend had stopped by. She looks down at our brand new hardwood floors and says look at the scratches. The guys put 3 about 3 inch deep scratches in our beautiful new flooring. Almost looks like a box cutter did this. Also other small scratches. They had a blanket/cloth thing I do not know how this could happen.

DH called the guys who delivered and had their boss call. My DH made it clear they need to replace part of the floor. These are interlocking floors so who knows. But my DH just finished the molding and the caulking and it looked amazing just needed the furniture and now who knows what they have to do. The guy said he would get back to us by Monday.

I called BRU but no one was available to speak to me until tomorrow. The person I spoke with though told me this was highly unacceptable.

Sometimes things can never be easy.

That really stinks. I would be so mad
I hope they do the right thing and fix your floor and replace the dressers.
