Posting this for my neighbor...
The dog got out of his yard yesterday morning and is still missing.
They are heartbroken!

They are absolutely beside themselves.
They have some sort of doggie door on their sliding glass door on the back of the house so the dog can come in and out of the house.
They have gates which they always keep closed, but when they got home last night the gate was open.
They have been to the west babylon shelter and the one in islip. called the police department etc.
There was a report of a stray dog being seen near little neck at 9:00 am yesterday, but I guess when the shelter went to look for the reported dog they didn't see him.
Please keep fingers crossed that someone finds Rusty.

Thanks everyone.
I spoke to my neighbors last night and nothing so far.
The husband looks horrible... He is so broken up about this.
And I know he thinks it is his fault.
I will keep everyone updated.

My dad lives in W babylon and I am close too, off of Montalk. I will definitly keep an eye out, Best of Luck and hope and prayers..
Forgot to ask, does the dog have a name, in case I see it...maybe it would respond to the name???

Hi Everyone-
I am happy to report that RUSTY has been found and safely returned to his family!
A nice man from Bellmore found him the morning he escaped and called his family yesterday morning to tell them that he was found!
Thank you everyone for all of your prayers and for keeping a look out for Rusty!
I really appreciate all of your good thoughts and concern!
