You poor baby and your poor DH! How scary! People get into such an uproar about weddings. Just call your brother and explain. He is the only one you have to worry about caring and personally, if he doesn't understand, oh well.

You are absolutely doing the right thing by staying home. The first sentence out of your sister's mouth should have been "what can I do to help?" I'm so sorry that wasn't the case.

Oh Val I'm for you guysl! Forget your sister, she should not be adding stress and guilt on top of what is already going on. Can you get in touch with another relative so they can inform your brother on what is going on and possible have him call you. Maybe FBing someone if you don't have contact 3's????
I pray your DH makes a speedy recovery.

Prayers for your DH . It is good that he's on Heparin and being monitored closely in the hospital. I'm sorry you are going through family drama as well.
I recently found out I have a genetic predisposition to blood clots (through various blood testing). I've never had one personally, but while pregnant I must be on the blood thinner Lovenox daily. I also take baby asprin on a daily basis.
I am sure the docs will mention this to your DH, but ask for a full blood workup to rule out genetic blood clotting conditions, etc. It may be as simple as taking a baby asprin everyday. But it's definitely important to find out to prevent this from happening again. I'm glad the hospital caught this on time and that he is recovering now . Prayers for a quick recovery.

I agree. Forget your sister. In my book, a blood clot in your husband can only be trumped by birthing your own baby - and that's only because you have to be there.
