I read that the DH did not report her missing at 9am - if I went out running or to do errands my DH wouldnt report me missing either after 2 hours...now if it turned into 5 hours etc and I wasn't answering my cell, that's a diff story.
In any event, it's a tragic story

What is not clear to me is that apparently nobody saw her after the party the night before. Only the husband said she left at 7am that morning. The time of death will actually would be found during the autopsy although it could be affected due to the heat outside. She could have died at a different time.
I don't rule out the husband (and bad circumstances for him. Having marital problems does not mean you always kill your spouse). But it is very possible she was attacked by somebody else. It's pretty woody areas in Cary. I don't rule out a car stopping while she is running. The body (if it is hers) was in a remote location of a development. It could be anybody who drove by and did a crime of opportunity.
I think the autopsie will reveal a lot.
