UPDATED 1/25!!!! Had to go to labor and delivery this morning!
UPDATE 1/25
So this morning I went to see my OB. The baby has turned but he said my cervix looks good which is a good sign. Although I was having contractions yesterday morning, I didn't have them last night or this morning which is also a good sign. He wants to see me every week though to make sure the little guy isn't trying to get out. It may have just been a freak thing. He seems very positive but just wants to keep an eye on things. He is hoping if I am going to go ealry, I can hold on for another 4 weeks or so (I would be almost 35 wks) until the baby is a little bit bigger and stronger.
Thank you for all your well wishes. I will keep you updated if there are any changes. Hopefully my baby boy can hold on for a few more weeks.
I woke up at 3:00 this morning and had bad cramping in my back, stomach and down my legs...like when I have my period. Than I kept having to pee. So after 2 hrs. without this subsiding I called my dr.'s emergency #. I am only 30 wks. so I got nervous. The dr. called me back and asked me some questions and told me I could be going into pre-term labor and to come to the hospital ASAP. So Dh and I got to the hospital around 5:30. They did a test specifically to see if I was going into pre-term labor ( I forgot the technical term). They hooked me up to some machines and the dr. looked and I was having contractions. I was at the hospital for 6 hrs. My own OB came in to see me and although the test came back neg. that I was going into labor, he is concerned b/c I was still having minor contractions for several hours. They released me on bed rest b/c I am technically not going into labor, but I have to go and see him tomorrow and they are going to do more tests to see if I am still having contractions, if my cervix has changed, etc. Pls. pray that this was just a fluke thing. I am only 30 wks. I can't imagine having to leave my baby in the NICU for a month. It was even scarier when the dr. was telling me if I do go into labor they have to give me cortisone shots to help better prepare the babies lungs.
I will update everyone tomorrow after I go to the dr. again.
My work friend's daughter went through something like this back in the beginning of November. She ended up not going back to work (she was only working for another week anyway) and ended up delivering right around her due date.-- She may actually have been going into pre-term labor. I'm not sure.
I actually was hospitalized at 24 weeks with 1 1/2 mins contractions After modified bedrest for the rest of my pregnancy I had a planned c-section (for other reasons ) a week before my due date. So stay clam and relax!!!
