Updated Fertilization Report (IVF)
I had 20 follicles removed Tuesday. 17 were mature, and 16 were fertilized (we had to do ICSI).
Today is day 3, I am having the transfer Sunday (day 5). Dr. B. just sent me this email. Can anyone translate?
Here is today’s report 4 8c-A, 1 6c-A, 3 8c-B, 3 6c-B, 2 6c-C, 2 5c-C, 1 3c-D So we have 11 good quality embryos so we are on target for Sunday transfer will get you the time today or tomorrow.

Re: Updated Fertilization Report (IVF)
Basically he's saying you have:
4 that are 8 cell grade A
1 that is 6 cell grade A
3 that are 8 cell grade B
3 that are 6 cell grade B
2 that are 6 cell grade C
2 that are 5 cell grade C
1 that is 3 cell grade D
In short, the A's you have look great, the B's too. I personally wouldn't expect the C's and D's to make it to freeze and if so, they may not survive the thaw. They are not a great quality - although you just NEVER know! Some labs would not even bother thawing ones of that grade. The lab that I used did not freeze any that were not expanding blasts by day 6.
Anyway, a lot can change with the A's and B's by transfer/freeze day but looks like a great number to work with and you should have a couple of good ones to transfer and freeze for an FET (which you hopefully will not need for a long time )
Good luck!

11 sounds good. I really don't understand grading but when RE tried to explain it As and Bs were good. Good luck on Sunday!
