UPDATED: Kallahari/Split Rock/Great Wolf or Camelback
Looking for your opinions on these resorts. Looking to go for a few days for Spring Break. My kids will be 4 and 2.
Thanks.
ETA: has anyone been to the new indoor waterpark at Camelback? Thoughts?

Kallahari/Split Rock/Great Wolf
Split Rock's resort hasn't been renovated since the 70's it looks like, so I would cross that off your list! We love Great Wolf. Heard great things about Kalahari.

OMG Split Rock looks like a dump!
I am drying to try the new Kalahari. It looks amazing and has gotten great reviews.
I'd go there!

I would pick Kalahari. We plan to check it out this winter. Great Wolf was fine.

UPDATED: Kallahari/Split Rock/Great Wolf or Camelback
My friend has done both Kalihari and Camelback. She said they both were nice but, she liked Kalihari better.
She has 4yo twins.

Camelback is for older kids. I know a few people that went, and while the kiddie area is cute, most of the slides and rides are scary.

Re: UPDATED: Kallahari/Split Rock/Great Wolf or Camelback
We are going to Kalahari this weekend so I will let you know.
We went to Split Rock last year. My DS was 3. It was perfect for him. The water park was clean and the facilities were fine. We stayed in the hotel there too which was being renovated. Our room was really nice actually. The hotel is mismanaged though. I definitely observed that on a couple of occasions, nothing that effected me really. The arcade area was good and the food was okay. For the price, it was good for DS. For bigger kids, I would say no because there weren't too many big kid rides.

Re: UPDATED: Kallahari/Split Rock/Great Wolf or Camelback
We went to Kalahari over the weekend. It was awesome. There was something for everyone. They had a fantastic toddler area, an amazing splash park with fun slides, really good rides for 48" and taller and, very important, a swim up hot tub bar that goes inside/outside. They also had bars all around the water park. They had these nice cabanas you could rent. The food in the restaurants was good, the arcade was fun for everyone, the bar was nice, the rooms were great. The place was spotless.
The only thing is that the water park and the arcade are pretty much the only things to do there. There aren't really any other activities unless you want to leave the resort. There is a spa that was really nice too.

That is what is keeping me from booking there. Nothing else to do. Hopefully they add more stuff soon. We ended up choosing Camelback over Kalahari for Christmas Break since they have the indoor activities (rock climbing, etc.) as well as skiing and snowtubing right outside the door.

Re: UPDATED: Kallahari/Split Rock/Great Wolf or Camelback
We went to Kalahari last weekend on an overnight through groupon. wE got access to water park , nice room and $100 credit to arcade. (So great)We have been to great wolf numerous being said we loved Kalahari. We went on an off weekend so it was EMPTY! my kids are 7 and 10 and we had no wait on any of the rides. Constantly going on all the big rides without a wait is the key! It was spacious and very clean.
The rooms were nice and spotless.
The food was good. We are at both restaurants which were great. We ate at the buffet - so many choices for breakfast.
My kids cannot wait to go back..
I agree with last post about Kalahari..
Need to try camelback now...

UPDATED: Kallahari/Split Rock/Great Wolf or Camelback
We're thinking of going to Kalahari during winter break, but I'm wondering what the roads will be like since it's December in the mountains. Are they usually good about clearing them, or do you think El Nino will continue with the warmer weather?
