UPDATED w/ my decision! Yay or Nay on this bag my DH bought me?
UPDATE: I ultimately decided to keep the bag! But, only after going to the store to return it.
We go to LV to return it and I'm talking to the woman and mention that I think the bag is too big. She tells me I can pull the straps to tighten it and I told her I tried that and demonstrated. Well, she shows me that everyone does this incorrectly and tightens the straps for me and TRANSFORMED the bag. It has a completely different shape that I LOVE!!! I was so happy, literally smiling and just feeling elated. My DH was so happy too.
I initially decided to return it bc I couldn't justify my DH spending that money on something I didn't like but now that I LOVE it, I have no issue keeping it. I actually already used it on Sunday. I could tell my DH was really happy I kept it.
Oh, and she confirmed that it is a cream/winter white bag and thus appropriate for the winter wear. Suggested pairing it with a winter white coat.

We recently celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary and DH surprised me with a gift (we never do gifts for our anniversary). It was super sweet of him...but, I'm not sure I really like/love the bag.
It's an LV Neverfull GM in the Damier Azur Canvas.
I just feel like it's too big for me, I don't usually like big bags. DH said he liked it when he saw it on other people and thought of me. Said he got a big bag so I can also carry DS' stuff in there (sippy, extra diaper, etc). Said it was sold out in all the stores in the city. Feel bad asking him to return it, wondering if I should step out of my comfort zone so to speak and keep the bag.
Thoughts?
Will try to post pic but I'm horrible at it. This was the best i could do.
ETA: DH says that given that the next size down costs almost as much as the GM, it's not worth it to get the smaller size. Decisions, decisions.

It is a great bag and if you have a child it will be great to use to carry all the stuff you need. I love this lighter LV pattern for the warmer months.

I have that bag in the LV pattern. I LOVE it!!! I use it as a work bag and I commute. I put any paperwork, magazines, makeup bag, wallett, shoebag, sunglass case. It fits everything!!!! Gets pretty heavy though when it's full

I like it a lot and it was super sweet of dh to think of you like that. If I only had one comment - it would be that the color is too summery AND might get really dirty, especially since you have a little one. Maybe exchange it for the darker color in the same print???

DH surprised me with the MM (medium size) and to me THAT was big, but I did get used to it. IMO the large one GM is too big, even w. your DS's stuff, I would prob trade it in for the MM.

I would exchange it for the MM in the regular Damier since summer is over. The medium is plenty big to use as a diaper bag and more.

Unless you absolutely hate it of course! I mean, it IS a beautiful bag and very fashionable. I don't feel like it's only appropriate for the summer - it would have been if it was a light canvas bag, but it's leather!

To the OP: honestly that is a very expensive bag. Wouldn't your DH rather you get something you'll actually use?
I'd tell him how much you appreciate it but it's just so big, would he mind going with you to the LV store to pick out something a bit smaller, and maybe use the balance to get a wallet or something?
You may get 105343 people on here saying they love it but if YOU don't then IMO it's a total waste of money. And that's not a color bag I'd ever carry in the winter.

I agree with this. It's an expensive purchase and ultimately YOU need to be happy with it!! I think phrasing it the way LB said and asking him to go to the LV store with you to choose an alternative wouldn't be at all insulting 
Also, the neverfulll is a great bag, but there are many options as far as color pattern.. size... you may want to check out the smaller sizes in a different color too just for comparison.
Good luck with what you choose!! I don't think you could really go wrong either way, but you need to be happy with the bag!!

I know, I don't want to seem ungrateful. It was really nice of him. I don't hate it, it's just big. I happen to think my DH has a great sense of style so that's why I'm considering keeping it. I've gotten frumpy since becoming a mom I rarely use any of my designer bags anymore, and I was totally into them before.
If I decide not to keep the bag, I don't want another bag/gift to replace it; it's enough for me that he surprised me with an anniversary present.
Not sure yet what I'm doing but the deadline for returning it is quickly approaching. Thanks everyone for the comments.

Why don't you just exchange it for a size or two down? Before doing that I would maybe take all the stuff that you carry on a day to day basis and (carefully) fill the bag just to see how it feels to you. If it is too big, then I'd just go a size down. Then the sentiment is still there, but it is more a size you would use.

I agree that the GM is a huge bag. You can fit a small child in one! I feel like that size is more of a work bag, diaper bag, or travel bag. If you don't usually carry that much and you feel like it overwhelms you, I would exchange it for the MM. It's one size down and a great size on everyone.

If you don't love it, I wouldn't keep it. Its a very expensive bag and I wouldn't want my DH to have spent that kind of money one something I didn't really like all that much. I am sure he will understand.I just asked my DH what he would want me to do and he said he'd want me to tell him so I could get something I liked.
