Re: Do you get annoyed when you receive "inexpensive" Holiday Cards?
wowww. this is funny. no i dont care. cheap/expensive. actually im more surprised with the expensive ones i receive ...i think "wow, im not really worth that. hahahahaha"
but for real. who cares.
i must admit, one thing i noticed this year is that less and less people are actually signing cards themselves. with all these pre-printed cards, there is no more personalization. that part makes me a little sad...

Of all the things to get annoyed about, now christmas cards are added to the list? I love all the cards I get, I will say I especially love getting photo cards but that's just bc I lvoe seeing all the cute kids, pets, families dressed in their holiday apparel.

I don't get annoyed at all. I don't even notice how "expensive" looking the card is.

Of all the things to worry about this is what this person chooses to b!tch and moan about. Well God bless them that they have such a glorious life.
I don't care if I get a fancy card or one made from construction paper and crayons, tt's the the thought that counts. At this time of year, when everyone is busy and wrapped up in their own world, I am flatter to be remembered.

This is awesome!
I am finding with the cost of cards and postage, and so many people online now, in various ways, not as many people are sending cards to us anymore.
I am happy they remember me and didn't cut me from the list this year!
I will say that I don't like the glittery ones - that crap ends up all over my kitchen.

wow i guess the thought doesnt count huh...
by the way im having my sister mail my christmas cards from her job so i dont have to pay for postage... hows that for cheap lol
I agree.
And FTR, I thought about doing the same thing at my office but thought it would look bad to have the postage machine stamp on the envelope versus a real stamp. Maybe I should reconsider?
I've had stacks of mail stamped at the post office and it does the meter stamps too. Same thing IMO!

i did it for my wedding invites too to be fair postage for my invites was going to cost me as much as the invites did lol

I would be too afraid of getting in trouble or fired to do that!
To the OP, that is crazy! I am happy just to get a card!

Re: Do you get annoyed when you receive "inexpensive" Holiday Cards?
Not at all. Some of the ones I receive are from retired folks, and I understand they are on limited incomes. But even if they were not, so what? The gesture and effort of mailing a card mean a lot more to me.
People get upset about the craziest things.

Re: Do you get annoyed when you receive "inexpensive" Holiday Cards?
I actually raise more of an eyebrow at the expensive ones.... like, who are we trying to impress here? I'm kind of anti-Christmas-card myself and have whittled my list down to a small handul of people, so the fancy expensive cards are really wasted on me.

Re: Do you get annoyed when you receive "inexpensive" Holiday Cards?
i think that is absurd to get annoyed over! be happy you got a card! its the thought and effort you take to write it out and mail it...not the cost of the card. Realistically, the card ends up in the garbage anyway so why go crazy and spend a ton of money on it

Re: Do you get annoyed when you receive "inexpensive" Holiday Cards?
Maybe we need to clarify what the point of Holiday cards are?
It's to wish people a Happy Holiday -whether it's a photocard or on Crane stationary. Anyone who thinks differently needs to rethink their priorities.

I don't ever pay attention to how "expensive" a card is or seems to be. Never thought to.

Re: Do you get annoyed when you receive "inexpensive" Holiday Cards?
this is some days i wish my life was so boring that i had time to worry about nonsense like this!
i selected other...i could care less about the quality of the card NOR could i care about whether or not i get one in return. I send what i send cause i want people to know that we are wishing them a happy holiday and cause my kid is cute and I know people like to see how big he got if they dont see him often.

I honestly can't believe that someone would get upset over such a thing! It's the thought that counts & the card, no matter how "cheap," implies that you're being thought of. I'm bewildered by this even being an issue for some people this
