Updated with new question...Pity Party for myself...... Sorry...
So, DS has been sick since last weekend. Double ear infection and RSV. Had a fever until yesterday. Miserable week. Now, to top it all of.... (we did/do CIO) DS REFUSED to go to sleep tonight. I tried everything. SO, I finally had to put him in bed and let him scream for 25 minutes....... I HATE that! But there was no other option. He was so tired and everything that he normally loves (bathtime, cuddling and watching Elmo, lotion time, PJs, sleepsack....) He screamed through it all. Do they do this from time to time? I'm so sad right now, I can't sleep.
Please let the beginning of the new week tomorrow be a MUCH better one!!!!

Re: Pity Party for myself...... Sorry...
Now, we're going on a week where this kid will NOT eat. He is on an antibiotic now and no fever since Friday. Shouldn't he be eating SOMETHING by now? THe only thing he will eat is fruit snacks and/or popsicles... REFUSES anything else since last Sunday.... Could it still be from being sick? Or is this some other issue now????
Granted to say that this was NOT much of a better day. HIs temper tantrums are out of control and I just don't know what to do anymore. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated....
THanks again for letting me vent! It really helps to get all the hugs, support and advice on here.

Re: Updated with new question...Pity Party for myself...... Sorry...
First off...
Second... do a search on my post "ready to jump off a cliff"
Ds had RSV and was MISERABLE!!! He was so miserable, that i thought something else was going on with him because how could he be acting like this just from being sick. He was up every 2 hours and the last few nights, every hour. He would scream with everything we did... baths, changing him in the middle of the night, changing his diaper at all, you name it... he screamed. He would be fine sometimes and the next minute would scream and would have screaming fits for up to an hour. Nothing we did would calm him down. The only thing that helped here or there was motrin.
It was miserable!!!!! This was the first time that i actually broke down crying. My husband was working midnights and so i was getting up every hour with my son for 4 days straight. I would sit in the glider with him and cry. And i DON'T cry!
So i feel for you. I really do. That was the worst experience and i hope we never have any repeats of it.
But it will pass. It doesn't seem like it when you're going through it, but each day he'll get better and better.
Also, my son was eating either at that time. I think because he was so congested that he couldn't breath when trying to eat solids or have a bottle. I think it was very frustrating for him.
BTW... we did CIO before he got sick and we had to do it again after he was sick.

Thank you so so much! I don't mean to sound like I'm glad that you went through this too, but at least it doesn't seem too out of the ordinary. Add to this that his two year molars are coming in and he's miserable. After bath time when we were getting ready for bed he was screaming for toast. SO, he finally ate one piece of jelly toast about an hour after Motrin. So, I think part of his problem is that he's hungry but it hurts to eat (molars) or doesn't taste good (from being sick) but I think the hunger is definitely contributing to his crabbiness. Sorry to ramble, but he went to bed easier tonight and Im ECSTATIC... Thank you so much for your BTDT experience.

It's always nice to know that someone else has been through the same thing. Glad to see he wanted toast and ate a bit. That's a good sign.
