UPDATED:Spotting for the 1st time at 11w3days? (possible TMI)

Yesterday I went to get my nails done with my SIL and then to the mall with DH. I needed a dress for a wedding this weekend. So we ate there and came home. 2 blocks from our house I started cramping a little bit but, attributed it to gas. I came in side and when I went to the bathroom, I was spotting. Very little, a few drops.

I called the doctor and have an appt today at 3:15pm. Is this still normal? I haven't spotted once.


UPDATED: I saw my OB, he did a sono and an internal. My placenta is lower than it should be, but not previa yet. The baby was jumping on the placenta as if it was a trampoline. He didn't seen concerned about the cramping either. I go for my ultrascreen on Monday and see my OB again next Thursday.

I also went to the pulmonary specialist and he said the bouts of shortness of breath is most likely my body trying to adapt to the pregnancy. I have to go for a follow up test, just to be safe, in 2 weeks.

What color spotting? I had brown discharge at around 10 weeks and again at 11 weeks. I have seen two OBs now and both said brown is fine. Make sure you are drinking enough water - dehydration can cause cramping. Good luck at the doctor

I've heard of a lot of girls spotting, I haven't, but I don't think it is that uncommon. Good Luck at your appointment this afternoon! I hope the doctor tells you everything is ok.

The cramping along with it kind of worries me...what color was the blood?

it was bright red. as if you prick your finger or something. it hasnt happened again and the cramping has subsided a bit.

I had bright red bleeding around the same time as you. I had just heard the heartbeat with the doppler for the first time the day before. I was a nervous wreck, but everything turned out ok and I now have a healthy 6 month old. The doctor didn't know why I bled, but said it's fairly common. I hope everything is ok.

It's good that you have an appt, but if it hasn't happened since and the cramping went away- you are probably okay. Could just be previa or something.
