Re: Upgrading electric
We went from 100 to 200 Amp and paid I think $1400.... I forget, I am sure I posted it before. ETA: We got a whole new electrical box with that.

Re: Upgrading electric
I guess it depends on how much you need to upgrade. Our house is about 100 years old and we changed a lot of things and I'm pretty sure that we paid under $1,000.

We upgraded to 300amps, replaced the old box, added a 2nd box and installed a new mast for $1300.

Re: Upgrading electric
To go to 200 amps on most houses and switch out the box is between $1400 and 2K.
I have a great electrician, who many have used on the board, if you need one. He rewired my entire house, switched the box, added lights, wired for CAC and boiler. He's meticulous and very professional.

Re: Upgrading electric
Ok - 2 more questions...
How long does it take to do this?
Is 200 the standard nowadays?
