I wrote a few days ago that I was worried about some early contractions I was having along with frequent urination. My initial urine culture (the dip stick) came back negative but they sent a sample to the lab because of my symptoms and it turns out I have a Streptococcus colonization aka Group B Strep UTI.
Has anyone else had this type of UTI? I think it's pretty uncommon from what I googled which I shouldn't have done because some of the things I read scared the crap out of me.
They aren't sure if the BH contractions I'm having are related to the UTI or not but I was assured that it's okay to have BH this early on so that made me feel better. I had a few last night and freaked out. I've also been peeing a ridiculous amount since I started drinking a little over a gallon of water everyday, I peed over 50 times (I kept a log) in 24 hours! Insane! The only time I wasn't peeing was when I was sleeping but then BH contractions woke me up. I have them if I don't pee as soon as I feel the urge. So maybe it's symptoms from this infection? I hope after antibiotics I start peeing less, it's a full time job going to the bathroom this much
Well anyway, I'm still nervous. Please pray for me and my little munchkin.
My lower abdomen is so uncomfortable and that just started today. I hope it's just the UTI and it gets better now that I started medicine. I was tested on Friday but only got results today. I'm so stressed out.
