UV light when getting nails done safe?
I was getting my nails done today and this woman said to me:
"You shouldn't be getting your nails done and especially getting the UV light on them while you are pregnant."
I didn't ask for her two cents, but it got me thinking.
My Dr. said getting my nails done was OK, but I never thought about the UV light.
It is only on my hands for 5 minutes each.
I have been doing everything right to mess it all up for something I never thought about.
What do you think?

i think there is uv light hitting your skin from the sun all day, whats another 5 minutes?
i get filthy looks from people every week when i get manicures and pedicures, witha ten min back massage. sometimes i even turn on the chair massage. im 37 weeks and not in labor so i ams ure thats fine too.
ive also gotten highlights 2x. filthy looks then too.
dont worry! ur doctor is the one who went tomedical school, if ihe said it is fine, it probably is!

i get UV gel color manicures and never even thought twice about it being bad during PG????

I actually just saw an episode on the Doctors about the UV lighting being bad for everyone (not just PG woman) and that they're seeing an increase in woman with cancer who get their nails done regularly and use the UV lighting to dry their nails!
