Vacation Christmas time
Looking to go away on Christmas. Any ideas where to go? We don't celebrate Christmas, but love the lights and activities they have around it so we're up for anything.
Any ideas that we can drive to locally. 2 - 4 hour drive? Some ideas were - DC Boston Baltimore
Just never know with the weather so want to make sure there's some indoor stuff and don't want it to be a fortune. Already looked up Kalahari and it's a lot that time.

Vacation Christmas time
Everything is going to be super expensive. I also looked up Kalahari, and thought the price was reasonable compared to Great Wolf and Camelback that week! Christmas break prices are almost twice of any other time!

Re: Vacation Christmas time
Gaylord in National Harbor, MD is beautiful with an awesome light display. You could do a trip of Baltimore and DC. Both have great indoor kid attractions.

Booked a Sunday and Monday night in December and paid $930 for two nights. It also includes tickets to ICE for two people. Our kids are young so they are free. That rate is also for a one bedroom suite but the rates for a double bed/king room were very affordable.
Just youtubed videos to check it out from last year and it looks awesome!

I booked for 2 nights also, but we are going for Thanksgiving. I lucked out in that our room at the Gaylord is $159 a night (they were or still are running a room only promo), AND on top of that we get $100 each night for a resort dining credit (so hotel is really only $59 a night).
I then just bought our ICE tickets on Groupon for $22 - a 20% off coupon code. SCORE!
I had the package booked, but doing the components separately worked out to be much cheaper in the end!
Here is the ICE groupon, many dates sold out though
