Vacation spot now? somewhere warm and driveable
Where do you take your children for a long weekend? my girls are 3 & 4 and am thinking Virginia? i have never been there.
I would like it if there were activities at the destination...
Any advice? help!

Virginia isn't that much warmer than here this time of year...
If you want warm, I think you have to go farther South.

I don't really think there is such a thing as both warm and driveable from NY in mid-January. As far south as Charlotte it's 27 degrees and snowing today.
If you're willing to go and deal with the cold, I don't think there could be a better place than DC right now with everything going on.
