Vacuum for wood floors
Can anyone recommend an INEXPENSIVE vacuum that is good on wood floors? Our whole has wood floors and I think it's time to get a vacuum. The Swiffer isn't cutting it anymore.

We have a Sears canister vacuum and I just use the floor attachment when I do the wood floors.

A canister vac is the best for wood floors - a regular upright vac will just spit the dirt around b/c it doesn't have any resistance.
Mine wasn't cheap but I definitely recommend it - Simplicity S20.

I have the Hoover Self-Propelled Windtunnel ... it has a great suction on my wood floors - picks up everything. It was $199 at Sears.

i have a bissell two-in-one that converts from an upright to a canister vac.... i use it as an upright on my wood floors, and really like it alot... it does really well.
