Varicocele Surgery?

Hey girls!! Here's ANOTHER question I have... 2nd SA came back with low count and morphology. Going for a sono next week to see if he needs the vericocele surgery.

Does anyone have experience with this? From what I've read, there's no proof that it increases the quality... What is the recovery like?

My DH husband had bilateral varioceles and had surgery in January on both sides. DH ultimnately decided to have the surgery bc of the potential to increase his numbers but also bc he experienced pain in that region from time to time. After surgery the dr. said the veins were "impressive."

Although we do not know the results of the first 3 month post surgical SA we did get pregnant the very next month. I do not know if us getting preg. so quick has anything to do with the surgery or not but was def. a welcomed blessing.

DH's recovery was pretty good. He had the surgery on a Friday and was back to work by Wednesday. It was a couple of days of decnt pain and difficulty walking and moving around.

He is going for his SA this week, so I should be able to report the progress by early next week.
