Veggie spinoff-what veggies does your toddler eat?

My ds will eat every veggie under the sun..dd will only eat peas she literally gags on everything else. I keep trying without luck.

My DD gives me such a hard time eating her veggies but she LOVES broccoli.........I'll take it! I boil it and add a little EVOO and lemon.

Peas, carrots, corn, green beans, broccoli, sweet potatoes - those I buy organic frozen and just empty a portion from the bag and boil/steam in a small amount of water for a couple of minutes. drain water and serve mix with a little evoo. While I would prefer to buy fresh and prepare, it's not always possible and i've let a lot of fresh veggies go to waste over the past several months. So this is what I do for now, most of the time.

Aside from that, things she will eat that we eat are roasted asparagus and roasted chickpeas. She LOVES the chickpeas. I (or usually DH) roast them in the oven with olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes (which oddly don't bother her, lol).

I am lucky - my DD will eat ANYTHING. Literally.

What will she eat on her own no problems no encouragement? Nothing

With some coaxing and a reminder that she'll get a fig newton if she finishes her veggies? Everything

That includes broccoli, kale, carrots, spinach, red and green peppers, peas, zucchini, etc

All of them are either roasted with olive oil and garlic or in food (like kale in soup, peppers in stir fry, etc)

ETA: She is 3.5 When she was under 2 she would eat WHATEVER no problem. At 2.5 when she became more aware it was more of a challenge but we didn't want to let this go and I'm glad we kept encouraging it. I should add, she will eat these at home or in a restaurant with us...at my mom's house, a friend's house etc probably not.

She also loves most potatoes and beans.

Not a fan of:
Peas (bless her for this because I hate them) but she'll eat some..
Mushrooms (I need to educator as its my favorite).

But we both (She & I) love broccoli and carrots so we serve that up every night. She gets the Normandy Blend forzen veggies heated up and I get either broccoli or carrots. We both will sit and eat those all night LOL and raw carrots are a favorite snack for both of us.

I think she's getting curious about mushrooms since I eat them like candy.

steamed in a pot then a little janes crazy mixed up salt or roasted with olive oil and what ever spices I choose that day.
carrots, sweet potatoes, turnips, and potatoes. are the only veg that I will boil. Everything else looses too much nutrients otherwise.
here is what I can think of besides what I listed above. I'm sure I'm missing some of them.

string beans
carrots
broccoli
cauliflower
peas (just defrosted)
squash, summer, acorn, zucchini


kidney beans and black beans are like candy for them. Just out of the can. weird!

they eat everything, but leafy veggies, but only because I cant figure out how they would eat them

Corn peas carrots potato and occasionally broccoli.
She will sometimes eat "leaves" (salad)

Steamed only. If I add seasoning or sauce, she won't eat any of them.

Broccoli is her fav! She eats sweet/reg potatoes, corn, carrots, green beans.

Both kids like cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes and sweet potato. Our kids also like french fries if that counts.

oh yeah, they also love corn.

I am lucky and my toddler eats most everything. All three of my kids are good with veggies. I am lucky (although I have one who refuses most meats still at 5.5 yrs).

These are her regulars (but really she'd eat whatever I put in front of her most days):

Green beans (only canned - but at times could eat the whole can if I let them).
Broccoli (fresh, steamed. they also love it srpinkled with parmesan cheese)
cauliflower (i make it roaseted and sometimes sprinkle on parmesan cheese)
lima beans (the frozen ones in butter sauce)
peas (I buy frozen)
cucumbers
carrots (I steam for the toddler as she still is missing a lot of teeth)
corn (on the cob or frozen)
sweet potato
tomatoes

Carrots - steamed, roasted, sometimes raw (cut into thin matchsticks)

Peas - warmed from the freezer or cooked into meals

Sweet Potatoes - baked, roasted or mashed up (sometimes spiced), as fries

Potatoes - same as sweet potatoes

Spinach - I defrost the frozen chopped spinach and add it to her meal or sometimes just put it on the side

Tomatoes

Cucumbers

Broccoli - roasted or steamed

Cauliflower - same as broccoli

Green Beans - cooked in soup or occasionally if mixed with other veggies

Lima Beans - Cooked in tomato sauce

Corn

Winter Squash - roasted

Kale - roasted into chips

Last night she ate sauteed collard greens, but I get so nervous with cooked greens, so I need to chop it super tiny for her.

Only if cooked into meals - onions, peppers, celery

Nothing...but at least he loves fruit, so i just load him up on tons of fruits.

I'm done beating myself up over this....my DD who is only 8 months eats EVERYTHING i have ever given to her..already such a big difference from the way DS was at that age. I'm pretty sure i'll have at least on child that eats well. I have tried EVERY trick in the book.
