veggies for lunch? 12mo old
Do you give your DC veggies for lunch? I just find it odd to put veggies on his tray when its not dinner time...especially when lunch is usually sweet like yogurt, fruit, etc.
...but I dont feel like he eats enough veggies at dinner and I'd like to incorporate them into lunch too. How do you do it?

He likes Yams and squash, so I try to give him those. He also likes lentils so I mix those in as well. Every now & again I'll throw some carrots into the mix.

I hide them into her food.
I puree them and hide them. Pureed broccoli into pasta and sauce with Zucchini Bread (I make it at home), is one of her favs.
You just can take veggies left over from the night before and puree and hide them into stuff.
ETA: In daycare she gets a sandwich (sometimes a veggie is on it - like turkey and avocado) and fruit for lunch. Then a snack of fruit and goldfish or fruit and cheerios. so when she is home I am sure to include multiple veggies at lunch and dinner.

We give DD veggies for lunch every day. It's just the way we introduced them. It was fruit and cereal for breaksfast and dinner, veggies for lunch. Now we give her a meat and veggie for dinner but we still give her just veggies for lunch.
We'll probably change it after DD makes the move to daycare.

I do...usually it's carrots, but sometimes it's a green vegetable.

Do the samething you do for dinner. Maybe make some pasta with carrots or green beans ect. and have the yogurt for desert.

I think that I started giving DD veggie burgers when she was about 12 months. She LOVES the Morningstar Farms Tomato and Basil Pizza Burger.
I try to give it to her when I feel like she hasn't been eating enough veggies.
She also loves any kind of tomatoes, so I will cut them up for her too.

I usually do a fruit for breakfast with cereal, lunch is a veggie or vogurt, and dinner a meat or pasta.
