Vendor Rave - christening gown from wedding dress w/pics - added pics of original at bottom
Thanks to those of you who recommended using Designing Dreams in Mineola for making DD's christening gown out of my wedding gown! We picked it up today and they did a great job! The pics are from the first fitting a couple of weeks ago - I didn't take any pics today because DD was having a fit in the store.

They asked for 6 weeks, but we didn't have that - they got it done in about 3, with a couple weeks to spare. It was $350 - would've been $300 but for all the lace. HTH.

I can't take credit for the idea - I don't remember who said they were planning to do this, but someone on LIW back in 2006 was talking about it and that's when I decided to do it too! I have no family heirlooms so I am hoping this will become one for my daughters, granddaughters, etc.
