vent about gender and comments
I have a beautiful DD and was told at my 20 week sono that she will be having a little sister
However in the past 2 weeks i've had at least 8 people (some strangers, some co-workers) tell me i'm having a based on the way i'm carrying. no big deal, i just say no i'm having a girl..........but then why do they feel the need to follow up with the comment, "you need to go for a 3rd to have a boy"
so frustrating.
another co-worker (male) told me he felt bad for my DH because he is going to have 2 girls!!
are people crazy or just stupid???
Last pregnancy people usually said i was having a girl because my face changed (nice way of saying got fat)...i dont know which is worse!

Re: vent about gender and comments
People are just plain annoying. When I was finding out the twins genders, we knew one for sure wa sa boy and the other was not cooperating. We got comments like it BETTER be a gir, etc. Dh and I would have been happy with 3 boys and when I respond with that I get, no you need to have a girl.

Re: vent about gender and comments
I get the same thing ALL the time. People I know & people I dont know will say "I guess you want a girl, right". I respond "a healthy baby". Some will continue to say "yeah right". When people first heard I was pregnant they immediately said "oh Im praying for a girl for you". I have never done this to anyone & cant believe how ignorant people are.

Re: vent about gender and comments
People don't think before talking.
I have a boy, and now we are having a girl, and all I keep hearing is "ok, you're done, you have one of each". Really????? Thanks for making that decision for me. Ughhh...people.

Re: vent about gender and comments
This is why we decided this time we wouldn't be sharing the gender until after baby is here. We will be finding out, but we aren't sharing. I don't care to hear people's inane commentary about how DH needs a boy now or I should have another because now DD needs a sister etc etc.
I've already had people telling me they're getting boy vibes and asking me if I want a boy now. I usually answer that I'd be happy either way but how it'd be great for DD to have a sister so close in age to share things with and how I always wished I had a sister who I could share things like shopping and have that bond with.

Re: vent about gender and comments
I saw my great aunt at a wedding this weekend and she's like "are you sure you're not having twins because you are so big" If it was anyone else I probably would have been more upset then I was but she's really old so I GUESS it's okay. When people ask if I know what I am having and I respond with saying I've gotten "oh, well don't be too sad, you can try again for a girl" "I'm sure your husband is really happy" "are you sure it's not a girl because you are big all around" people are jerks... yes, I gained a lot of weight thanks for pointing it out and what, I have to be sad I'm not having a girl simply because I'm a girl or DH is only happy because he's a guy? We would have been thrilled no matter what we were having. Why are people SO DUMB?

Re: vent about gender and comments
B/c people are annoying and for some reason they think that they can say WHATEVER they want to pregnant women, it is crazy!
Most people tell me I am having a , but we are team . I am like, well we'll see...and they say," NO you ARE having a boy!" Unless you have x-ray vision then shut the he!! up!!

Re: vent about gender and comments
I get that all the time.
"That sono is wrong. You are carrying a girl for sure."
"There is no way that belly is a boy belly"
It's so annoying. I usually whip out my 4d sono pic of my LOs potty shot and say, well it looks like a boy to me.
We plan on having one more. Boy or girl it doesn't matter we just want one more. But once people find that out (the ones that don't criticize me for even wanting more) always say, that is great you are going to try again for a girl.

Re: vent about gender and comments
Yep and if you had 2 boys they would say you have to go for a 3rd to have a girl.
And what happens if all your babies are the same sex? Do you just have to keep having more and more like the Duggars until you get one of the opposite sex?
People are so freakin' ignornant sometimes!

I'm not one to be easily offended, so it doesn't bother me at all, but yeah...with two girls already and expecting #3 and on team , you can imagine everyone's got something to say!!

I have a and am expecting #2 in Sept. I get the "oh, I'm praying it's a girl" comments all the time too! While I would love a girl, I won't be devastated if this baby is a boy! I am ready have one and he is great! People are so annoying!!!!!!

People, even those who already know I am having a insist it will be a . I have no idea why people do that. I am sure if you had , the same people would say go for the . Just ignore the comments and be thankful God has blessed you with children (especially DDs who can hopefully be BFF!)

Re: vent about gender and comments
People are just dumb.
Everyone seems to think I'm having a because of my face (guess it got fatter... I don't see a difference).
My favorite is: next one will be a .
I tell them... "it doesn't work that way... you don't get to pick." That usually shuts them up.
If not, I say at least I don't have to worry about my getting preggo when he's a teenager. This get the BEST facial expressions from moms of .
Secretly, I would love to have a to dress up like a doll (maybe that's why I'm sensitive to the comments).... but that's not what motherhood is really about.
