VENT! JC Discount Fuel- dont use!
Ugh! just a warning not to use JC discount fuel in coram. This is the company we get out oil from and this morning we woke up to no heat. My husband called first thing in the morning and scheduled a 5pm appt. I have been waiting here, freeeezing with my newborn since 5:00. Was told at 5:40 and again at 6:30 that he was on his way. Its almost 8 and I called and they are closed!
Now I dont know what to do- I am so fed up with this company. Hope no one else has to deal with this!

wow, that is terrible but I am very surprised. I have been using them for at least 6 years and they have had a perfect track record with me! In fact I called at 7:03 this morning as well and the truck was in front of my house by 7:45am when I was leaving for work!
They will give you the cash price for a check in the mailbox if you use them often, that way they can come while you're at work.

i am surprised too... we moved here in july and have used them twice and everything was fine. That is why my husband called them first thing in the morning. I gave them the benefit of the doubt about being late when I called at 5:40- but to lie to me and say he was on his way almost 3 hours ago when I explained that I am here alone with a 4 mo old- that really upset me. I cant believe they didnt call before closing to let me know someone wasnt coming.
I am new to LI- do you know of anyone I can call at this time? Every place I have googled is closed

your best bet is to have your DH get a few gallons of diesel fuel and put it in tonight, then start calling places again in the am.

Thanks for your help... Our tank is full, got it delivered 2 weeks ago... Must be something else. DH brought home lots of firewood so we will sleep in front of the fireplace tonight, romantic lolll. ;)

Did you get your burner tuned and vac before you started to use your heat? Sometime its a clogged filter. Look in the pennysaver tune and vacs are usually $100

hope you got someone but we have used frank savin for emergencies and he has come over asap and is located i believe in holtsville. fm me if you want his number - he's licensed and insured

I'm surprised too - I've had a great track record with them too. I dont use them for service though. Good luck!

thank you all for your help and concern... we were able to get it fixed around 10 last night luckily... had to get the filters changed and some new parts... then the system had to flush out (which really stunk!) ... sorry for the vent, they have been good for oil fills but it got me really upset waiting here with the baby... new mom worries lolll
