Venues for Baptism party
I am looking into possibly having DD's baptism lunch/early dinner (baptism is at 1:30, we would have it immediately following) but the more I think about it, if we find an affordable place, it may be cheaper and less of a hassle to have it out than at home. I am not opposed to having it at home (I love home parties) but am willing to look into other options. We have a big family so i can't really do much more than $20.00 a head. is that even possible?
Suggestions please... Church is in Greenlawn, so something in Huntingtown, Greenlawn, Northport, Centerport areas would be great. DH was thinking JR's in Stoneybrook?
ETA: Baptism will be the last Sunday in August. Approximately 40-50 people, I am open to an outdoors venue.

Re: Venues for Baptism party
What time of year? Are outdoor locations an option? How many people?
We had Maddie's at Mangiamo. Joseph's was at Tutto Pazzo.
I'll try to think of less expensive places. I know it's not a common type of a place for a Baptism but Jani in Huntington was $12.95/pp + tax/gratuity

We had DD#2's Christening at J&R's in Stonybrook last year, we had the big room(100ppl) the price was great and we were happy with the food as well. I would recommend them for sure.

Re: Venues for Baptism party
I also just had DD's baptism party at J&Rs in Stonybrook. We had the party from 3-7 because the baptism was at 1:45. Because of the time we had to pay the dinner price which was 19.99pp. The food was very good and everybody enjoyed it. Won't that be kind of far from where your church is though?

yes, it would be a bit far from the church... but the price is so good and the food is good, so it might be worth it.

If you end up wanting to book there, let me know and I'll give you a few tips of things I did with them to make it more worthwhile.

Re: Venues for Baptism party
We are having out party this Sunday at the Smithtown Elks Lodge. I know it is still a little far from the area you were looking at but just throwing it out there.
