PSA- for whatever this is worth, even if it just saves someone else $.

PLEASE make sure you get complete information from whatever rep you speak with at Verizon. We have been Verizon customers since 2005 and November last year we made some changes (increased from 3 to 5 lines and put 2 of the lines on the Edge plan).

I had an online chat with 1 rep (so I had it all in writing) BEFORE making changes - was quoted pricing, then went to a store to make changes. The store had NO idea how the rep calculated the pricing, and couldn't honor it, however the changes had already been made (long story - DH started the process before I got to the store with my online chat print out).

I called a rep the next business day, she reviewed our acct and with all eligible discounts, the pricing was the SAME as what the first rep told us.

Fine.

1st bill comes it was almost $400 more than quoted - I called and was told the Edge plan phones, you pay the tax upfront on the FULL retail of the phone. The next bill would be much less.

Fine.

Next bill comes, it was almost $200 more than quoted.

I went round and round and round with Rep after rep, and supervisors. Left messages for supervisors to call me back, NONE called me back.

I requested our account put in dispute mode, it wasn't. The next month I received a bill for over $800.

Regardless - Verizon stands by their saying they can't figure out how that pricing was calculated and they are not honoring it.


We had 5 lines, unlim talk & text and 15GB, with 2 phones on Edge (meaning we pay them off monthly) and our bill has been ~$340/month.

Needless to say, we are receiving NEW phones today from T-Mobile (only xfering 4 of the 5 lines). Two new LG G4 phones and two iPhone 5S', each line will have unlim talk & text and 10GB (EACH line has 10GB). Our bill will be $205 before taxes/fees.

The edge program is terrible. I had major major issues with miscommunication. It really turned me off from Verizon.

I pay $246 per month for 2 iPhones, 1 Casio work phone and a Verizon brand tablet. We do not even use the tablet or work phone, but taking them off would make our bill go up? It's crazy. I'm due for an upgrade but DH refuses to pay monthly for the phone.
