Verizon FIOS customers
If you switched over recently, do you notice more telemarketing calls lately?
Last night we got three calls from the same number in a row and we didn't pick it up. When we finally did, the person asked for Edward (no one I know) and we told them to take us off the list.
Do we have to register our number again on the do not call registry?

yup.. we had this problem too.. i think when you sign up for FIOS they put you in the phone book automatically. we had to call the do not call registry again and they pretty much stopped

Same thing happened when we switched over - we didn't pay extra to have our number unlisted.

Re: Verizon FIOS customers
I just signed up for the do not call registry again. Do I have to ask Verizon to unlist us?

Re: Verizon FIOS customers
Could they be 3rd party partners of a product or service you've already purchased? That's the story I always get, and in reading the terms and conditions of a lot of things I buy, they're in their right to.
I was getting charity calls that were "partnered" with a charity I had given money to also. In these cases, the do not call registry doesn't apply.

Probably not. This started happening the day after our install.

Re: Verizon FIOS customers
anytime you get a new number from any company you have to register it with the Do not call registry.
