Verizon Wireless people ... missing texts?
I have a Verizon iphone and ever since Sandy happened I noticed people are sending me text messages that I'm not receiving.
Has anyone else been having this problem? It's very frustrating because I don't know what other messages I've been missing!

Actually yes. My husband and I actually had an argument about a text I sent that he claimed I didnt. When we compared phones, the text showed as sent on my phone but never came through on his!

I think there is something up with Verizon, I had no service or data (3G/4G or Wi-fi) ALL DAY, from Ronkonkoma to Smithtown. Not in one single spot.

I haven't had this problem (at least not that I know about!) but my husband has. We noticed it yesterday- all day he didn't get any texts I sent him.

I've been having this issue for a few months now. Not often but some of my texts aren't going through. Strange - there's a text I sent that took two weeks to go through (I sent a picture of the Freedom Tower the only time I've been by it, so it was memorable enough). So weird.

I keep hearing from one friend that she is missing out on the beginning of my texts. She gets only the end of them which I think is weird.

Yup. I've had the same problem. Either I get a text 5 hours later from someone, or my text doesn't go through at all.
I also have iffy service lately.

Yes. I'm not a verizon person but anyone that i'm receiving texts from that has verizon and an iphone, i'm only getting half of their texts - pretty sure it's consistently only the second half of the text (i'm talking about longer text messages here).
My DH has verizon and has said he hasn't received some of my texts... but I assumed he was just being a d!ck

Verizon Wireless people ... missing texts?
we had problems with verizon text and it got better..... if you look at your sent - if it fails to go through it will have an X next to it... if its trying to go through and hasn't yet it will have an outward arrow instead of a check mark(for other verizon customers, it will keep the outward arrow and you wont' know if its another provider)

yes!! my BIL's gf texted me last night but i only got 1 text which didn't make sense.. so i asked her and she said she sent me more than that..

I've had problems with texts failing since the storm. Most the time I notice it & repeatedly hitting send again will send it.
