Verizon Wireless users- have you had issues with missed texts recently?
It's so odd but for the past few weeks I have been noticing that I am not getting texts here and there.
My friend texted me on my birthday- I never got it. He showed me the text on his phone- it showed that it went through. I never got it- not even late.
Then last week my boss said he texted me something earlier that morning. I look- no text at all. His phone showed it went through- no error message.
And it's not just my phone. My friend said his sister texted him and he never received it, and just now my friend said he texted my husband- DH never received that text either.
All Verizon customers.
God knows how many other texts I may have not gotten that I don't even know about.
Anyone else have an issue lately?

Not that I've noticed  but then again.. if I haven't gotten someone's text, I may not realize it and just come off as really rude by not responding!!

I have Verizon and that happened to me Wednesday night. I sent texts to some friends .. they never got them. My phone said they went through... I thought maybe it was just my crappy phone.

Have you tried calling up Verizon and mentioning it?

Me too! I turned my phone off and on Thursday morning and the texts were sent then. Very odd - glad it wasn't my phone!

UGH.
How is this acceptable?
I always thought Verizon was very reliable but now I'm starting to wonder.
What could be the issue?

Just last night I didn't two texts from the same person. I have Verizon but I don't know what they have. It was also someone that I haven't text with before.

I had that issue with a text I sent to DH's phone. Problem is, he has call blocking so when I call him, I have to dial *82 before the number. If you use that to text, it doesn't go through. If I just dial the number, it goes through.
Other problem is if he returns my text, it comes from the *82 number so if you reply, it automatically goes to that number, which means he doesn't get the reply. Can't even change the number to reply without deleting the thread. I still have to call Verizon to see if there is a better work around for this.
Other than this, I haven't had a problem (as far as I know).

I texted my dad and brother yesterday and neither replied, which is highly unusual. No it makes me wonder if they even got it??
