Visiting new mommy question

I will be visiting my boss, who just had a baby, on Friday. I am bringing by Steven's swing and bouncy that he barely ever used, and I said I will just bring it and not come in. I really don't want to bother her. She said of course she wants me to come in.

So, my question is, should I leave Steven home?

My initial thought is YES, but I don't want her to think I really don't want to be there (since I first said that I wouldn't come in then when I do go, I don't bring my kid), when in actuality I just don't want to intrude.

id leave him home...one of my best friends just had a baby and i already said im not bringing my daughter, you never know what kid germs they are carrying and its just safe for the first few weeks (they say 6 weeks) to keep them away from kids or large crowds. i dont know how old your son is....my daughter is going to be 2, and there are alot of times she will sneeze or put her fingers in her mouth...since she is so young she doesnt understand to cover her mouth if she sneezes, id die if she sneezed on the baby! hope this helps, im sure your boss will understand and be greatful if you came alone

I would definitely leave him home. She may not mind that he is there, but if she does, it could get awkward.
