wainscoting

Dh is putting white wainscoting in the baby's room...here is my question, does he need to paint it?
It comes white, but I am not sure if he should also paint it white.

Re: wainscoting

If it comes white and you are ok with the finish and it goes with chair rail, I would say no, but I am just guessing!

Yes, you should paint it. When it comes white it is considered "pre-primed".

Exactly! Phil always buys pre-primed and them paints it a glossy white or whatever color he decides to paint it.

Our family room is a glossy white, but in our office it is buttercream and the rest of the house it is stained.

Let me see if I have some pics.

This is a high gloss white:

Re: wainscoting

Thanks. I know our doors and mouldings have come pre primed and Dh has always painted those white. However, the wainscoting has a shiny finish to it, and he thought it would be easier to clean if it wasn't painted.
